Specialized Inspection Services

Kerotech recognizes that clients may require inspection services involving the use of specialized tools like air quality monitors, cameras, robots and drones. Some building elements, such as roofs, may merit comprehensive analysis since a relatively small investment in repairs now will prevent costly restoration later. When due diligence is needed for specialized evaluation, we have the technical means at hand to make accurate and informed assessments.

We offer:

  • Crawl Space Inspection Using Robots — using a low-profile robot and a wireless color tilt camera mounted on a four-wheel drive all-terrain vehicle, we look for any plumbing issues and (or) structural damage and insect (e.g., termite) damage. We can also use our robot to assist in energy auditing.
  • Full Roof Inspection — employing a high-res camera mounted on a drone, we can thoroughly examine a building’s roof and chimney systems. Not only does this method protect roof integrity, it greatly lessens insurance liability resulting from possible falls.
  • Termite Inspection and Wood Destroying Organism Evaluation — we deliver wood infestation reports caused by insects such as beetles and termites and evaluate any damage or decay that may have occurred. We also use probes to report wood moisture content; the presence of water may indicate termite infestation.
  • Mold inspection and Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Monitoring — in addition to fostering termite invasion, plumbing and roofing leaks may induce structural mold infestation. Kerotech can inspect both residential and commercial buildings to see if mold testing is appropriate. Baseline testing includes surface and fungal air sampling in order to determine the extent of mold infestation. We adhere to guidelines and standards established by the EPA and the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH) when remediating fungal invasion and the reconstruction of mold-free surfaces. In addition, we conduct post-remediation sampling to ensure the elimination of mold infestation and that your building is restored to its previous mold-free condition.
